How to use an ultrasonic toothbrush?
The specific function of the ultrasonic toothbrush influences its use. Conventional toothbrushes are moved across the rows of teeth and always have contact with the teeth. Our sophisticated ultrasound technology works almost without contact. Just guide the brush head slightly over the teeth. In addition to the ultrasonic toothbrush you use a special ultrasonic toothpaste. 75 milliliters is enough for around six weeks.
The bristles of emmi®-dent usually cover up to three teeth. After a short stop - usually six seconds - move the ultrasonic toothbrush to the next tooth. With the Platinum series, a haptic and acoustic signal tells you when it's time to move on. Repeat this process until all teeth have been cleaned. For heavy soiling or discoloration, a longer cleaning time is recommended. As with all other toothbrushes, brushing your teeth should take at least three minutes. After the cleaning process, it is recommended to brush away the dissolved dirt from the gums and from the teeth.
What sets ultrasonic toothbrushes apart from ordinary electric toothbrushes?
The electric toothbrushes includes rotary toothbrushes and sonic toothbrushes and ultrasonic toothbrushes. While the former usually have round brushes that rotate alternately from left to right, sonic toothbrushes are equipped with elongated, vibrating heads. With 20,000 to 30,000 vibrations per minute, they achieve a much higher frequency than rotary brushes. Ultrasonic toothbrushes exceed this performance many times over: emmi®-dent achieves up to 96 million vibrations per minute.
